It’s good to be in the news. Especially when the magazines, newspapers, bloggers, online publications, and even a top apparel company are saying such wonderful things about Curtain Bluff. And it’s not just the editors who are swooning. The readers’ surveys are saying again and again that Curtain Bluff are sweeping away the competition (Travel + Leisure readers just ranked us among “the World’s Best Beach Hotels” and Trip Advisor users voted us #1 resort in Antigua).

In February The Mail on Sunday devoted an entire page to the resort, calling it a “Caribbean Classic.” “I am in love with it,” wrote actress Tina Hobley. “I ended up being blown away by the wonderful world of Curtain Bluff…Usually I think the world’s a big place, so why would you want to go return somewhere? But, hand on heart, I would go back to Curtain Bluff in a flash.”

The Daily Mail followed up with a long online article that described Curtain Bluff as“a well-kept secret for the (lucky) few who know they are on to a good thing,” noting that its “old-world values make it first choice for the most discerning vacationer.”

“Roosting cozily on a rocky peninsula,” wrote Condé Nast Traveller,“the 72 rooms and suites are absorbed into a tropical grove with meandering pathways…To one side, a beach so calm it feels like walking into a just-run bath…to the other, a much more dramatic stretch of sand.”

In its article “the best spa hotels in the Caribbean,” The Daily Telegraphdescribed our rooms as “contemporary and luxurious, with plush fabrics and marble bathrooms. They all have fantastic views of the sea.” As for the excellent spa: “…it has a cliff-edge hot tub and four treatment rooms with views out over the ocean.”

In its article, “Where To Go For Winter Sun,” Harper’s Bazaar listed only seven resorts worldwide. And yes, you guessed it, Curtain Bluff was front and center.

The famous American apparel brand, J Crew, chose to shoot some of its spring 2017 catalog at Curtain Bluff. After the shoot the company went out of its way to praise the resort, “we stayed at the island’s famous tennis resort Curtain Bluff…besides being a pretty dreamy place to spend a few days, you can get some feel-good vibes knowing that the resort started a fund to help support its local community with educational grants and health care.”

In addition to being a leading search engine, Orbitz.compasses on travel recommendations to its eye-popping 24.3 million visitors per month. In its April 2017 roundup of “the best all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean for family vacations” it wrote “Kids of all ages, as well as their parents, will love the easygoing ambiance, unlimited watersports (including tubing and waterskiing), luxe spa and gorgeous beaches.”

The lifestyle web site, Islands.com, summed up our atmosphere when it wrote: “Time spent at Curtain Bluff immerses you in understated luxury fused with a warm, old fashioned family vibe.”

AFAR magazine called Curtain Bluff an “Antigua classic” and gushed that “constant love, improvement, and expansion has turned this island home-away-from-home into a 72-room world-class resort.”

The revered style arbiter, Architectural Digest, raved about their newly renovated Hulford Suites and the look for the fall “On 28th October, Antigua’s intimate Curtain Bluff will welcome guests after a six-month closure and a $13 million refresh.”
